An Arizon Air Structure is a large, open-space building that is made of synthetic materials and wholly supported by air pressure.
The tremendous structural integrity of an Arizon Air Structure comes from this internal pressure, which is provided by powerful, reliable air-handling equipment. In fact, all of the air within the structure continuously flows up to six times per hour to maintain air quality and the appropriate temperature and humidity control. Arizon Air Structures are anchored to a concrete grade beam or earth anchors for permanent, temporary or even seasonal installations. Click on a technology to the right to learn more. Fabric Envelope
The most visual aspect of any Arizon Air Structure, the outer Fabric Envelope is a high-strength polyester and vinyl-coated composite fabric. This powerful combination has great tensile strength, and when coated with our own proprietary finishes, it provides additional UV protection, longevity, low maintenance and even greater support strength. What's more, unlike a steel structure, the fabric never rusts or requires painting. Plus, the Arizon Fabric Envelope is not sewn or “heat sealed” together. Instead, our Electronic Radio Frequency (RF) welding machinery develops seam construction equal to the strength of the fabric, which increases the life of the structure and prevents air and weather leakage. Arizon is the only air structure provider utilizing this proprietary and remarkable technology, eliminating the reliability issues created by tears and leaks in competitive air structures and protecting your investment for decades to come. The Arizon Fabric Envelope comes available in translucent, opaque and many popular colors. Thermaliner
If you require temperature control or improved thermal performance in your Arizon Air Structure, a vinyl-laminated, polyester layer can be installed within the outer membrane of your fabric envelope—creating a dead-air space of approximately six to 12 inches. This added insulation, called the Arizon Thermaliner, reduces your heating and/or air conditioning costs, and even creates an acoustical barrier to the outside world. To attach your inner and outer fabrics—and to allow for 100% insulation—Arizon makes use of a special perpendicular “tab.” This keeps the inside liner from contacting the exterior fabric, which avoids condensation issues and interruption of the insulated air space. Cable Grid System
The Arizon Cable Grid System thoroughly secures Arizon Air Structures. It prevents structural movement in high winds, decreases stress on the fabric envelope, increases safety factors, and extends the life and usability of your structure. The system is a steel-cable grid, comprised of a custom, vinyl-coated and galvanized aircraft cable. This cable is tightly and securely meshed throughout the actual fabric envelope. The Arizon Cable Grid System provides a tremendous structural advantage over other building systems—especially when designing and erecting air structures in excess of 20,000 square feet. It also guarantees the performance of Arizon Air Structures to equal or even exceeding that of conventionally constructed structures. The Arizon Cable Grid System is non-abrasive and designed to exceed a basic cable system's structural design performance by factors of ten or more. Air Handling System
A critical component of any Arizon Air Structure is its fully customized mechanical air handling system. Depending on specific structural needs, this system consists of a combination of specially manufactured fans, a stainless steel heat exchanger and modulating burner, cooling coils and condensing unit, operating controls and many other accessories and options—including emergency and back-up generators and blowers. Arizon exclusively uses Johnson Air Rotation Technology (manufactured by another division of our company) in the mechanical heating, cooling and pressurization systems. Some of the many operating advantages produced by these reliable systems include reduced utility costs (both fuel and electricity), controlled temperature and humidity throughout the structure, and a system with the greatest warranty and longevity in the industry. Johnson Air Rotation units are listed by Underwriters Laboratories® (UL®) which provides an additional margin of tested safety offered by the Arizon Companies. Only Arizon provides the exclusive Air Rotation Technology that reduces fuel energy and operating costs by up to 70% compared to other mechanical systems. Arizon personnel start your mechanical equipment and then maintain it with factory-authorized technicians. No other company offers this level of technical support. Arizon's engineers can provide you with fuel and energy consumption projections which reflect the economical operating costs of our products. Back-up Systems
Pressure Controlled & Auxiliary Standby System In the unlikely event of pressure drop due to primary fan failure, opening of emergency exit doors, or a major accidental puncture of the fabric envelope, an additional stand-by electric pressure controlled system is automatically activated to maintain the proper, safe operating pressure at all times. These automatic auxiliary back-up systems maintain proper pressure until the main units are repaired or reset, conforming to the triple redundancy requirement required by appropriate federal, state and local code authorities. Arizon's back-up systems are coupled to our air handling equipment and other mechanical systems to form a fail-safe operating system. Entrances
Special and standard doors are available to accommodate various types of traffic in and out of your Arizon Air Structure. Commercial and recreational structures require revolving doors, personal airlocks, and emergency exit doors for entering and exiting under all conditions. For warehousing and some industrial uses, vehicular airlocks provide access for forklifts or full-length tractor-trailers. In all cases, traffic moves quickly and efficiently through all entrances. And emergency doors are available with panic hardware, emergency exit signs, and lights in order to meet local fire and building codes. Other Systems Lighting One of the advantages of an Arizon Air Structure is that our translucent outer membrane allows for natural light to permeate the interior during daylight hours, greatly reducing or even eliminating the operating costs for lighting. However, when lighting is required, two systems of custom-designed, indirect lighting are available: Arizon’s Perimeter Pole Design—Lights are placed around the perimeter of the structure’s interior. This design is typically used for warehousing and specific recreational projects. Arizon’s Pendulum Hang Design—Fixtures are suspended from the structure’s ceiling, allowing for glare-free indirect lighting and an unobstructed interior space. Perimeter Anchorage Each Arizon Air Structure is clamped down, in most cases, to an Arizon-designed concrete foundation that is supplied by a contractor. We can supply shop drawings for local fabrication of steel anchorage and hardware or supply the clamp steel angle, anchorage or aluminum extrusion directly. Earth anchor designs are also available for temporary and/or smaller re-deployable structures. adsfasdf |
