City of Paducah Kentucky to Purchase Exposition Pavilion from Arizon

The Mayor and City Council of Paducah, Kentucky agreed to purchase an Arizon Exposition Pavilion today. The "Expo Center" will be used in conjunction with the City's Executive Inn, a hotel located on the banks of the Mississippi River, to hold conventions, shows and other major attractions in the Paducah market area.

The City is committing over $3.5 million for facilities to attract and accommodate tourists, shows and conventions that will deliver tourist revenue to repay the City for its expenditures.

At the Paducah City Council Meeting, Scott Biason, retired Major League Soccer star, explained the Arizon Pavilion to the Mayor and City Council and officials. Arizon was selected by Paducah because it is the leading manufacturer of pre-engineered and pre-fabricated Air, Frame and Tension Structures in the world. City officials also cited Arizon's AAA credit rating and references from State and Federal officials. A city delegation visited two of Arizon's manufacturing plants in Illinois and Missouri prior to making their recommendation to purchase the Arizon Exposition Pavilion.
